Application & Process Design
Burloak has a leading team of engineers specialized in disciplines of Design For Additive, Metallurgy, Aerospace Manufacturing and Quality Requirements, Propulsion, Thermal Management, Tooling, Conformal Cooling, Manufacturing, and Molding. We have in-house simulation capabilities for Topology Optimization, FEA, Moldflow, Heat Transfer, AM Build Simulation, and CNC Machine Simulation that allow our team to deliver solutions which result in lighter, stronger, more efficient parts, with faster deliveries.
Burloak has the most extensive range of Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies available in a contract manufacturing environment. Utilizing the right process technology ensures we deliver the quality and cost performance that can only be realized when you compare all the various AM technologies in an intelligent and unbiased manner. Our team can produce complex components in a variety of metals and plastics ranging in size up to nearly two meters for metal parts.
Delivering a full-service solution is critical in today’s market and as such Burloak features comprehensive in-house capability for the manufacture of complex aerospace and industrial components. With leading edge and highly automated multi-axis CNC machines for high precision machining and finishing of subtractive and additive manufactured components in 3, 4, & 5-axis Milling and Turning along with Sink and Wire EDM, we deliver high precision parts for a wide range of customer programs.
Post Processing & Finishing
Burloak is expanding our post-processing capabilities to include comprehensive in-house heat treatments with Hot Isostatic Pressing (Hip), Vacuum Stress Relieving, and Vacuum Solution heat treatment. Our finishing capabilities include Microscopic Deburring, Polishing, Vibratory Tumbling, Barrel Tumbling, Ultrasonic Cleaning, Abrasive Flow Machining, and Centrifugal Finishing. Our heat treatment and special processes will be NADCAP certified in late 2019.
Quality & Inspection
Commitment to quality is clearly demonstrated in Burloak’s investment in QA and QC systems. We provide a complete materials and metrology laboratory with leading technologies including CMM, Laser Scanning, CT Scanning, SEM, Powder Characterization, Metallography, Chemical Analysis, Tensile Testing, Hardness Testing, and of course, our team of materials experts. Our in-process testing, final inspection, and contract inspection capabilities will be ISO17025 accredited in 2019.
